Beerhouse and Silent Disco in Cape Town
This extraordinary night starts out with great burgers and fries at the Beerhouse in the heart of Cape Town. Stepping into this location you already feel welcome. The Silent Disco will be in the Beerhouse later that evening. That’s why you are offered headphones upon the entrance, and let me tell you, you should definitely take them to enjoy the nightlife! The headphone fee is 50 Rand (approx.. 3,40 €) and you should take an ID or driver’s license as a deposit with you.
The Beerhouse has a huge selection of beers that you can enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere. But don’t worry if you are not that much into beer, they also have a great selection of longdrinks you can enjoy while eating homemade burgers and homemade sides. The prices are moderate, like everywhere in Cape Town, and the quality of the food and the beverages are outstanding. Highlight: The beerhouse has a balcony because it is located on the first floor of the building from where you have a great view over the bustling Long Street.
This time we are not leaving the location but put on the headphones we got when we came and are right in the middle of the Silent Disco that takes place every last Thursday of the month from 22 o’clock. Three DJ’s put-on music of different genres on three different channels. There is something for everyone. Depending on the channel you are listening to your headphone light up in red, green or blue. That’s how you can see who is listening to which channel. Of course the DJ’s are also there. All three of them at the head of the dancefloor, lined up next to each other and color-coded.
Once you take off your headphones you can easily have a conversation while having another beer or Gin Tonic or have a short pause for breath before you put your headphones back on and dive back into the crazy world of the Silent Disco.
